When I was 4 years old, the caretaker at my first school who ran the football team told me I wasn’t allowed to play football because I was a girl. When I was 14 years old, my English teacher told me I couldn’t be a musician because I was a girl. And now, at nearly 23, I just got told I can’t play a video game because I’m a girl. Still fighting 20 years later, and will do for as long as I live, so that when I have a baby girl, she can be happy and never have to suffer prejudice in whatever she chooses to do.
